It's official! Evermore has been nominated for the Saturday 'Visiter' Awards in the category of Original Works inspired by Poe's life or writing. I'll be in Baltimore on October 3-5 for the International Edgar Allan Poe Festival & Awards, celebrating all things Eddy!
I am still in a state of disbelief - though I did already book my hotel room. The funniest thing is that I now understand the emotion of those who say "it's an honor just to be nominated". It really is! I don't even want to think about the possibility of winning as they may need to just drop me in the catacombs after the announcement.
Yes, the party and awards ceremony are being held in Westminster Hall with the catacombs below and Eddy's grave outside. (But is he in there or is it empty?)
I'll be at the Raven Reception on Friday night at the haunted Lord Baltimore Hotel, Saturday and Sunday 11 - 4 at the street festival selling and signing books, and the Black Cat Ball Saturday night at Westminster Hall for the awards ceremony. Stop by and say hello if you're going to be there!
